This Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding cancellations, refunds, and service termination for First Reference services. By using our services, you agree to these terms.
Important Notice: We do not provide refunds after product delivery or additional support after the delivery of candidate details. Please review all information carefully before making a purchase.
Verified Candidate Packs
Cancellation Before Delivery
If you cancel your order for a Verified Candidate Pack before we have delivered any candidate information:
- Within 24 hours of purchase: Full refund
- After 24 hours but before delivery: 90% refund (10% administrative fee applies)
Cancellation After Delivery
Once we have delivered the candidate information to you:
- No refunds will be provided after the delivery of candidate information
- The product is considered delivered once the candidate details have been sent to your registered email address or through official WhatsApp communication channels
- We recommend thoroughly reviewing our sample formats and requirements before making a purchase
Service Scope
Please note:
- We provide candidate information as a one-time delivery service
- No additional support or updates are provided after the delivery of candidate details
- All candidate information is verified at the time of data collection
- Customers are responsible for their own recruitment process after receiving the candidate information
Background Verification Services
Cancellation of BGV Services
For Background Verification services:
- Before we begin the verification process: Full refund minus a 5% processing fee
- After verification has begun but is not complete: Partial refund based on the percentage of work completed
- After verification is complete: No refund
Custom BGV Projects
For custom or high-volume background verification projects:
- Cancellation terms will be specified in your individual contract
- Typically, milestone-based payments with specific cancellation terms apply
- Early termination fees may apply based on resources already allocated
Refund Process
To request a refund (only applicable before delivery):
- Contact us at getintouch@firstreference.in with your order details
- Include your order number and the date of purchase
- Specify your reason for cancellation
- We will review your request and respond within 3 business days
If approved, refunds will be processed and credited to the original payment method within 7-14 business days, depending on your payment provider.
Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds:
- Any services after delivery of candidate information or verification reports
- Customized reports or verification services completed per your specifications
- Services where terms of use have been violated
Service Termination
We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our discretion, particularly in cases of:
- Violation of our Terms and Conditions
- Suspected fraudulent activity
- Abusive behavior toward our staff or candidates
- Misuse of candidate information provided
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cancellation & Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
